60 Parsecs! to bring space crew survival madness to PC in September
60 seconds is all it takes to make or break your odds of survival. In 60 Parsecs!, you will be fending off the perils of space when it launches next month.
It’s been a while since we last heard of 60 Parsecs!, but the game is finally approaching release. According to developer Robot Gentleman, the game will release on September 18th. The release will be exclusive to PC via Steam, but the devs hope to bring the game to other platforms in the future. Pricing has been set to $14.99 USD, or in the EU, €14.99.
Robot Gentleman has also released an enthusiastic new trailer for the game. Have a look below:
With only 60 seconds to spare before your orbiting space station turns into a nuclear cloud, you must gather all the supplies you can find and set forth on a bold journey into space. Along the way, you will have to make difficult decisions regarding your crew, decisions that will impact who gets to live or die. You will face threats to survival not only from a lack of resources, but also from aliens, robots and gasp, communists.
60 Parsecs! carries on from the gameplay introduced in Robot Gentleman’s debut title 60 Seconds!. While that game had you scavenging on land, this one takes the action to space. Of note is that 60 Parsecs! introduces a crafting system, allowing you to use your inventory to craft marvellous new things. Like soup, or duct tape, for instance.
For more survival adventures in spaaaaace, consider Sunless Skies, which is launching in January next year. If you have a PS4, you might be pleased to know that the PC indie hit Subnautica is making its way there soon.
