Later this month, Good Shepherd Entertainment will release the Italian action game Milanoir. Expect a groovy 70s crime theme, and a quest for revenge.

Get your bell-bottoms ready, we’re going back to the 1970s. Italian-made, Italian-set, Italian-inspired action game Milanoir is set to release on 31st May. That’s later this month (dramatic close-up)! The release will take place across PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch. All at once (a fusillade of bullets makes holes in your screen)!

Here’s what the game is about:

Inspired by the Italian crime flicks of the ’70s revered by Quentin Tarantino, Milanoir is a pixel-packed action game set in the violent city of Milan. Come meet Piero, a convict suddenly released from prison looking for revenge over the man who framed him. Hunt for the truth and escape the ones who are chasing you through an unforgiving city. Someone wants you dead: you have to use all your toughness to survive. Shoot, choke, sneak your way through the enemies and engage them in breathtaking car chases.

There’s also a new trailer out, check it out:

You can also grab a buddy to play with you, as the game supports 2-player local co-op. What’s better than a buddy action movie? Apart from the dramatic campaign mode, there is also an arena mode in the game. In it, the clock is always ticking down, but you can earn more time by making more kills.

The game is being made in the city of its setting, Milan, by Milanese locals Emmanuele Tornusciolo and Gabriele “Giga” Arnaboldi. Joining them is Giuseppe “MisBug” Longo, who hails from Bari. Together, they form the studio Italo Games.

Still feeling nostalgic? Consider Garage, which pretends it’s a B-movie playing in a VHS tape. Also consider Bombslinger for some Wild West bombening.
