If you liked Oxenfree, you can go to hell. Literally. The next game from Night School Studio, Afterparty, has two best buddies trying to outdrink Satan.

Night School Studio has announced its next title, and while it doesn’t look all that different in its gameplay style, it looks a hell of a lot different in tone. Afterparty, as its called, is an adventure involving best buddies Milo and Lola as they end up dead and in hell. An eternity in hell can be a long time, and it’s approached with a drink, so the pair finds itself heading straight to a bar. It turns out, however, that if Milo and Lola out-drink Satan, they can gain re-entry back to Earth. Will they succeed? It’s up to you.

While Afterparty was announced a while ago, the game now has a trailer. Check it out below.

As you can see, the game will feature the same classic dialogue choice system from Oxenfree, with little coloured bubbles hovering above characters. Other than that, the game packs a humorous, bender-themed punch; going in quite a different direction than Oxenfree’s teen horror.

Milo is voiced by Khoi Dao, while Lola is voiced by Janina Gavankar. Dao has done voice acting for anime localisations, such as March Comes In Like A Lion and Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale. Gavankar is most famous for her role as Iden Versio in Star Wars Battlefront II.

Afterparty is expected to release sometime in 2019. No platforms have been announced so far. Check out the official website here.

In the meanwhile, you might want to check out Oxenfree. It’s out now on PC, Mac, Linux, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, iOS and Android.
