E3 2018: Cuphead set to get “The Delicious Last Course” DLC in 2019
Cuphead, which matches charm with challenge, is getting a DLC called The Delicious Last Course. You'll have to wait until next year to get your hands on it.Cuphead is getting a DLC, and it's titled "The Delicious Last Course". Before we continue, can we just take a moment to appreciate the title of this DLC? If you don't get it, try and shorten the name into an acronym. I'll wait. Right, now then: new DLC, new content all round. You get a new character, Ms Chalice, who is somehow even more adorable than the current Cuphead-Mugman duo. Chef Salt is another new character to the game, albeit non-playable. It's not like playing Cuphead leaves you with any less salt as it is. Here's the trailer, which premiered at the Xbox Media Briefing yesterday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBMOXHrXJtI As for the deets, developer Studio MDHR has this to reveal: https://twitter.com/StudioMDHR/status/1005923094974877697 Cuphead released in September last year on PC and Xbox One. If you're holding out on a PS4 release, you probably shouldn't: the developer has made it clear it will never be released on the PS4. Here's the developer's blurb about the game:
Cuphead is a classic run and gun action game heavily focused on boss battles. Inspired by cartoons of the 1930s, the visuals and audio are painstakingly created with the same techniques of the era, i.e. traditional hand drawn cel animation, watercolor backgrounds, and original jazz recordings.Check out the game's official website here. You can buy it from the Steam page here, the GOG.com page here, or the Microsoft Store page here. Be warned, though: it's really, really hard. Check out Dead Cells, a roguelike that's slated to come out this year, which should satisfy your need to die repeatedly until the Cuphead DLC comes out. For more traditional platforming, check out Fox n Forests.
