Sci-fi adventure game Elea is exiting Early Access soon, while also shooting off to Xbox One. Find out when it releases, and check out the new trailer.

Publisher SOEDESCO and developer Kyodai have announced that their sci-fi adventure game Elea will release on September 6th. The game will be out on PC (via Steam) and Xbox One when it launches, with no other platforms announced at present.

The game is currently in Early Access on Steam, and is available at a price point of $4.99 or €4.99. Do note, however, that on September 3rd, the game’s price will double to $9.99 or €9.99.

The teams have released a new trailer for the game, which sets up the premise and tone of the game. Have a look:

Here’s the plot of the game:

Elea is a surreal sci-fi adventure game in which you play as space scientist Elea. In 2073, Earth was struck by a horrid childhood disease and Elea’s husband Ethan joined an expedition to colonize Solace, a habitable exoplanet, to save humanity from extinction. The interstellar ship he was on, Pilgrimage, went radio silent shortly after it reached planet Solace. Thirteen years later, Elea joins a recovery mission to investigate the faith of the expedition. What follows is a wondrous journey through space.

The game is reportedly inspired by the works of classic sci-fi authors like Stanislaw Lem, Arthur C. Clarke and Frank Herbert. While the game is a first-person adventure (think ‘walking simulator’), it also features a variety of environments to walk around in.
