Fimbul is a Norse-themed action adventure releasing in February
Brace your mittens, 'tis the winter before Ragnarok. Fimbul will offer branching story paths and lots of chilly action on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch.
Brr, sure is chilly. Especially so for the hero of Fimbul, who is an old berserker named Kveldulver, who finds himself in Fimbulwinter, of all weather conditions. That means the end of the world (according to Norsemen), Ragnarok is near. Kveldulver's going to have to try his best to save the land of men, Midgard, and it's not going to be easy.
Publisher Wild River (a label of EuroVideo) has announced that Fimbul will release before the winter ends. Specifically, on 28th February this year. The game will launch across PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. All versions will get a digital release, but the PC, PS4, and Switch versions will also get a physical release.

An interesting twist to the usual action adventure business is that in Fimbul, you will have to make story choices over the course of the game. Those choices in turn can be rolled back, thanks to the favour of the Norns, goddesses of fate and destiny. This means that you can always see what different outcomes you could've landed up in had you chosen differently. Furthermore, the story itself is told with a comic book flair.
Fimbul is being developed by Danish developer Zaxis. The studio previously developed the 2D roguelike 99 Levels to Hell
