Her Majesty’s SPIFFING follows the exploit of two British astronauts as they travel the cosmos in search of new planets for Her Majesty’s galactic empire.

Oh dear, what has Brexit wrought? Her Majesty’s SPIFFING, the British comedy adventure game starring an astronaut named English, is arriving on the Switch rather soon. Developer Billy Goat Entertainment has set the game’s release date to 1st February, which is when the game will be available on the Nintendo eShop. Here’s the listing.

The announcement comes with a trailer for the Switch release. If you’ll turn your noggin’ this way please:

Baffled about this space adventure? So were we. But thankfully, Billy Goat provided this description that left us a mite less baffled.

In the wake of a political crisis Britain finds itself increasingly isolated from global society. Frustrated by the demise of this once great nation Her Majesty the Queen concludes the elected representatives in London are no longer fit to govern her United Kingdom.

Establishing S.P.I.F.F.I.N.G. (Special Planetary Investigative Force For Inhabiting New Galaxies) Her Majesty has turned to the stars in a bid to establish a new, Galactic British Empire!

Assuming command of the near futuristic space ship HMSS Imperialise and her crew (distinguished veteran and gentleman Captain Frank Lee English and Aled, his mild-mannered South Walean colleague) YOU will venture into the cosmos, solving puzzles, engaging in witty banter, deal with crippling claustrophobia, gradually succumb to the sustained exposure of cosmic radiation and so on, all for Queen and Country.

See? Now you’re less baffled, just like that! Wizard!

Her Majesty’s SPIFFING originally released in 2016 and is presently available on PC, Mac, Linux, PS4, Xbox One, iOS and Android.

More space-based comedy ensues in the scavenging game 60 Parsecs! If you’d prefer something more terrestrial, check out Maize.
