Team Cherry has announced that its breakout hit indie Hollow Knight will finally be heading to PS4 and Xbox One. Here comes the Voidheart Edition.

Hollow Knight has developed quite the cult popularity since its PC release in 2017 and Switch release earlier this year. Capitalising on its success so far, developer Team Cherry has invaded the PS4 and Xbox One platforms as well. Players on those platforms will not only be able to play Hollow Knight, but they will play the most complete, polished version yet: the Voidheart Edition.

What makes this version so special, you ask? Apart from the base game, it includes four content packs: Hidden Dreams, The Grimm Troupe, Lifeblood and Godmaster. The Voidheart Edition will be available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese (Simplified), Korean, and Japanese.

Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition releases on September 25th, which is only in the week after next. Do note that only an digital release is planned for now, and there’s no word on when or if a retail version will pop up. The game is already available for pre-order in certain regions of PSN, and furthermore, PlayStation Plus members get a 20 percent discount on the game.

And now, the obligatory trailer:

Here’s how the devs describe the original game:

Beneath the fading town of Dirtmouth sleeps an ancient, ruined kingdom. Many are drawn below the surface, searching for riches, or glory, or answers to old secrets.

Hollow Knight is a classically styled 2D action adventure across a vast interconnected world. Explore twisting caverns, ancient cities and deadly wastes; battle tainted creatures and befriend bizarre bugs; and solve ancient mysteries at the kingdom’s heart.
