Would you like to own a premium box set of Owlboy? SOEDESCO has you covered with the upcoming Limited Edition. It’s available in two flavours, even.
There’s nothing quite like owning a premium edition of a game you love, and now you can extend that love over to Owlboy. Publisher SOEDESCO has announced that it will be releasing a physical Limited Edition of the game on 13th July. This Limited Edition will be available only for the Switch and PS4 versions of the game. You can see the boxes above: red for the Switch, blue for the PS4. There will only be 6,000 pieces made for each platform, so they’re really putting the ‘limited’ in the Limited Edition.
As for what the box contains, have a look at the picture below:
Yes, the base game is included in the game (thankfully), but along with it, you’ll also find a manual and a physical version of the game’s soundtrack. The Coin/Pin box contains two pins and two coins. The pins represent the titular owlboy Otus, as well as the game’s logo. The coins are inspired by the collectible Buccanary Coins in the game. The sticker sheet contains seventeen stickers full of Owlboy-ey things. Finally, there’s a notebook with exquisite-looking art on the cover, and a certificate of authenticity that contains a unique Limited Edition number.
Owlboy originally released on PC in 2016, followed by a Mac and Linux release in 2017. The game also arrived on Switch, PS4 and Xbox One earlier this year. It was developed for nearly a decade by the Norway-based D-Pad Studio, and the game received a very positive critical response upon release. Check out the official website here.
