Rainswept is a detective mystery about love and trauma; now on Indiegogo

In Rainswept, Detective Anderson is out to solve an apparent murder-suicide and gets sucked into a surreal adventure of love and unresolved trauma.

Frostwood Interactive has set up a crowdfunding page for its upcoming mystery adventure Rainswept, over at Indiegogo. Here’s what the game’s all about:

Detective Michael Anderson enters the small town of Pineview to assist the local police force with a seemingly simple case – A couple is found dead in their kitchen. The locals believe it to be a case of murder-suicide, their speculation fueled by rumors of the turbulent nature of the couple’s relationship.

Is it just idle gossip, or is there some truth to the rumors?

Help Detective Anderson, assisted by the driven and empathetic Officer Blunt, discover the truth behind Chris and Diane’s story. But be warned: the further he pursues the case, the more his own past shall come back to haunt him. And the closer his own sanity will be pushed to the edge.

Rainswept is an adventure game – A murder mystery dealing with themes of love, relationships and unresolved trauma.

The campaign has 19 days to go and seeks $4,000 as a flexible goal. As of this writing, it is at 14% of that goal.

Developer Frostwood Interactive is composed entirely of lone creator Armaan Sandhu. Based in Goa, India; Sandhu is handling the art, design, story and animation for the game. Music is being handled by Michal Michalski, whose previous credits include The Cat Lady and Downfall – A Horror Adventure Game.

Rainswept is expected to release in January 2019, but Sandhu warns on the Indiegogo page that the game might be delayed. It will be available for PC, Mac and Linux, across such storefronts as Steam, Itch.io and Gamejolt. Check out the game’s official website here.
