Steam is serving up a charming point-and-click called She and the Light Bearer, about a cute firefly journeying in an unknown forest. It’s on PC and Mac.
She and the Light Bearer has a way of arresting you with its calming and enchanting visuals. That’s not all the game has to offer, though. Developer Mojiken Studio describes the game as not just a point-and-click adventure game, but also a poem, a music album, and a fairy tale. All at once!
The game it out now on PC and Mac, having released yesterday.
Here’s a look at the game’s trailer:
And here’s what the game’s about:
Follow the Journey of the Little Firefly to seek The Mother deep inside the heart of the unknown forest! Though, this journey won’t be easy for such a bug. The Little Firefly has to earn the forest trust and prove their worth by solving riddles, challenges, and puzzles.
Deeper into the forest, Our Little Firefly will learn the sacrifice of the forest, the horror of the Devourers, and the secret to awaken Mother.
Development of She and the Light Bearer is spearheaded by artist and designer Brigitta Rena under Mojiken Studio, which is based in Surabaya, Indonesia. Mojiken has previously developed A Raven Monologue, which came out last year. Like that game, She and the Light Bearer is being published by Jakarta-based outfit Toge Productions, who we know for publishing Rage in Peace last year.
Check out the official website for She and the Light Bearer here, and you’ll find the game here on Steam.
Rainswept is another point-and-click that’s coming out very soon, and it’s about a detective investigating foul business in a small town. But if you’d like to stick to comfy and charmingly illustrated puzzle-solving, have a look at our review of The Gardens Between.
