The fourth and concluding part of Steve Jackson’s Sorcery! has a new release date, and the previous three parts on sale. Here’s when the saga concludes.
Developers Inkle have announced that the Sorcery! Part 4 will be releasing on 22 September, instead of the original 15 September release date. That’s only a week-long delay, so you can relax as it’s unlikely we have another Final Fantasy XV on our hands. Sorcery! Part 4 is subtitled “The Crown of Kings” and will conclude the Sorcery! saga, which has so far seen three games released on mobile and desktop.
Sorcery! is a mainly text-based adventure-RPG series that gives you considerable freedom in what to do and where to go. It’s got luscious art, and you should expect some strong writing, considering Inkle is all about good writing in games. If you’re even remotely interested, there’s no reason not to give the games a shot while they’re a mere $0.99 a pop on mobile right now. Besides, it’s made by the devs responsible for 80 Days. I’m convinced the developers of that game can do no wrong.
To celebrate the release of Part 4, the first three parts of the series will be on sale on mobile stores. Each of the parts has been discounted down to $0.99 from the original $4.99 asking price. It’s not a bad deal at all, if you ask me. The sale is not available on Steam, where the first two parts are bundled at $9.99, and the third part is $9.99 by itself. On the Humble Store, however, the Sorcery! Part 1 & 2 bundle is at a 25 percent discount, while Part 3 is at a 15 percent discount.
Part 4 can be pre-ordered only from Humble Store at present, where it’s at a deep 40 percent discount. Apart from its release on Humble Store and Steam, Sorcery! Part 4 will also release on Android via Google Play and iOS via App Store.
