Stardew Valley multiplayer beta and PS Vita port to release in 2018
Harvest Moon-like farming game Stardew Valley will get its multiplayer beta early next year. Also, that PS Vita port is still happening.
Over at the Stardew Valley development blog, there’s a new update detailing the studio’s plans for the game’s future. It seems that you shouldn’t really expect anything from the game for what is left of the present year. Next year, however, is going to bring quite a few goodies.
For one, the long-awaited multiplayer beta of the game will release in the first quarter of 2018. It was originally scheduled to release before the end of this year, but it has now been pushed back. The actual multiplayer component, as detailed in a previous announcement, was always scheduled for release in 2018.
Furthermore, developer ConcernedApe is also working on new content for the game. No details have been announced about it, but we do know that it will launch alongside the multiplayer update.
The long-awaited PS Vita port is also still happening, the update confirms. The PS Vita version of Stardew Valley will release sometime in 2018 and feature cross-buy with the PS4 version. This means that if you already own the PS4 version, you don’t need to buy the PS Vita version separately. The update notes that multiplayer will not be available on the PS Vita version, however.
Finally, more languages are coming to the game in 2018: French, Italian, Korean and Turkish.
