Soon, you can take your tactical Viking journeying on the go. Stoic has announced that The Banner Saga will be marching its way onto the Nintendo Switch.
Stoic made an appearance at the recent Nindies showcase and announced that its trilogy of Viking-themed tactics games is headed to the Nintendo Switch soon. The first two Banner Saga games will be “coming soon”, while the third game will release on the Switch on the same date as other platforms. Have a look at the obligatory announcement tweet:

Stoic also recently released a character trailer for The Banner Saga 3 that highlights Bolverk, leader of the Ravens. Check it out here.
The Banner Saga 3 is the concluding chapter of the trilogy, and it was announced last year by way of a Kickstarter campaign. Not only did the game get funded beyond its campaign goal, the development is going so well that Stoic is releasing the game sooner than originally planned.
It is recommended to play the three games in order, as they feature a choice-and-consequence system that carries over across the games. This means that the choices you make in the first two games will be reflected in the third game. No pressure.

The Banner Saga 1 and 2 are currently available on PC, Mac, Xbox One, PS4, iOS and Android. The third game in the series is set to release on PC, Mac, PS4, Xbox One and of course, Switch. All three games in the series are published by Versus Evil.
