VA-11 HALL-A to get a sequel in N1RV Ann-A, featuring new setting and characters
Say goodbye to Glitch City and hello to Saint Alicia. VA-11 HALL-A's sequel N1RV Ann-A will bring more cyberpunk bartending action to PC, PS4, and Switch.
Publisher Ysbryd Games has announced the sequel to the cult hit adventure game VA-11 HALL-A. It's titled N1RV Ann-A, and it continues the cyberpunk bartending action tradition of the original game, albeit in a different city. The game will be handled by Sukeban Games, the Venezuelan studio that also developed VA-11 HALL-A.
You'll have to wait a while before you can get your hands on it, however. N1RV Ann-A is set to release in 2020 for PC, PS4, and Switch. Setting up a bar takes time, after all. The game will only release in English and Chinese at launch.
Rather than continuing from the game, the story will take you to the city of Saint Alicia. On this cyberpunk artificial island, you will play the role of bartender Sam, who works at the titular bar. She's in a relationship with a Yakuza named Leon, and they have an 8-year old son named Tony. The relationship isn't doing so well, so it's up to Sam to work her butt off and care for her son.
Of course, the focus of the game will be on its characters, whom you will serve all kinds of cyberpunk drinks to. The choices you make will affect them, as well as your income. The game will let you replay missions to experiment with different drinks and outcomes.
VA-11 HALL-A, the first cyberpunk bartending game, is currently available on PC, Mac, Linux and PS Vita. It is expected to release on PS4 and Switch early next year

It's going to be a while before you can return to cyberpunk bartending. Why not try your hand at coffee with Necrobarista instead? It involves a lot of reading too, after all. You might also enjoy the dark life simulation of Damnview: Built From Nothing.
