Whispering Willows will haunt the Switch later this month with HD Rumble support
Over four years since its initial release, the horror adventure Whispering Willows is all set to creep onto the Switch. Here’s what to expect.
Missing dads and astral projection, what could go wrong? Plenty, probably, and you can get right to it in Whispering Willows when it releases later this year on the Switch. You can get your hands on the game on September 27th, but the game is already available as a pre-order at a price point of $9.99.
Here’s what the game is about:
Young Elena Elkhorn embarks on a harrowing journey to find her missing father and discover the secrets of the Willows Mansion. A unique amulet she received from her father allows her to astral project her spirit into a ghostly-realm and communicate with the dead. Use your astral projection to solves the mansion’s tricks and puzzles, help the lingering souls, and uncover all of the secrets in Whispering Willows.
While you’ll get mostly the same experience as previous releases for the game, you’ll also find HD Rumble support in the Switch release. The rumble will pulse when you’re near a friendly spirit, and vibrate with more urgency if you are near an aggressive spirit.
Whispering Willows was developed by Californian developer Night Light Interactive, and was published by under the name Akupara Games. They’re retaining the same names for the Switch release.
Whispering Willows originally released in 2014 for Ouya, followed quickly by a Steam release for PC, Mac, and Linux. It has since been released on PS4, PS Vita, iOS, Android, Xbox One, and Wii U. For more information, check out the official website here.
