Possibly the world’s first post office management game Willowbrooke Post will enter Early Access on Steam later this month. Here’s a look at how it plays.

Ah, to return to a quaint little town and manage your parents’ post office for a year. Stardew Valley has truly opened the floodgates when it comes to quaint-country-life simulators. Willowbrooke Post will be offering a post office fantasy when it goes into Early Access on 27th March.

Here’s a new gameplay trailer showing off how the game plays at the moment:

Apart from managing the day-to-day responsibilities of running a post office, as well as your finances, you will have to engage with the local community and protect your family’s reputation until they return. Managing a family post office is serious business!

Here’s the sort of stuff you can expect, according to the devs:

Take on numerous tasks in the day to day running of the post office, including sorting packages for delivery, parcel wrapping, stamping letters, typing out emails, writing letters, and managing your ledger.

Other activities around the house include checking in with community members on the phone as well as following a multitude of cooking recipes, to bake villagers delicious treats.

Willowbrooke Post is expected to stay in Early Access for a year, although you should take that time frame with a grain of salt. Further updates will include an expanded narrative, with more townspeople to interact with and get to know.

Willowbrooke Post is being developed by solo developer Dante Knoxx, who is working with the publisher Excalibur Games. The latter you might recognise from the upcoming road trip game Road to Guangdong, which will also be going into Early Access soon.
