Heave Ho swings towards a PC and Switch release later this month

Heave Ho is all about holding on to your friends and swinging along, and you can get into that physics madness before the month ends.

We learned about Heave Ho on April Fool’s Day, but it turns out the game wasn’t fooling around. As planned back then, the game is on track to release in Summer 2019. Specifically, the game will be out this very month, on 29th August, across PC and Switch.

On PC, the game will be available on Steam, GOG.com, and Humble Store. Furthermore, you can pre-order it at Steam or Humble Store at a 10 percent discount.

Here’s a new trailer that’s celebrating the release date announcement:

Here’s how the game is described:

Heave Ho tasks up to four players with a simple goal – don’t fall to your death! Players will use their own two hands and the outstretched grip of their friends to grapple across each level on their way to victory. Grab one another’s hands, climb across dangling bodies, and swing your pals to safety in a wobbly, dangly mass of limbs. Customize your character with all manner of stylish accessories and zany accouterment in a vain attempt to remember who you are and which of your hands is the only thing between you and the plummet of doom.

Heave Ho is being developed by Le Cartel Studio, which is based in Paris, France. You might know them for having developed the brutal brawler Mother Russia Bleeds. Renowned indie publisher Devolver Digital is handling the publishing, as they did with Le Cartel Studio’s previous game.

For more silliness that also involves physics trying to kill you, have a look at Bookbound Brigade. If you’d prefer some first-person shootery, have a look at Gorytale, in which you shoot all that’s sweet.
