Realiteer Releases Christmas Update For VR Shooter GermBuster

Realiteer have released Version 1.2 of GermBuster, providing bug fixes and a holiday update, for their RealControl VR KitGermBuster is available for free from the App Store and Google Play Store.

GermBuster sees players progress through a family home, defeating cartoon green germs with a bubble gun. Appropriate for all ages, the game was created after Fangwei Lee, Founder and CEO of Realiteer, decided to make a virtual bubble gun that his son couldn’t break. This new update introduces a Christmas theme to the game’s setting.

The game is the first VR title with body-motion based input, controlled by Realiteer’s RealControl VR Kit. The simple cardboard headset, handle, and RealTrigger technology provide “18 degrees of freedom”, allowing head rotation, the movement of both hands, and control over walking, running, and strafing. Realiteer aim to make VR as accessible as possible, and hope that their system will be utilised for education, training via simulation, and even medicinal or therapeutic purposes.
