Transient blends Lovecraft with cyberpunk; comes from Conarium devs
The devs of Conarium are returning under a new name and with yet another Lovecraftian horror adventure. Transient will release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Conarium may have released only some 2 years ago, but its developers are just dying to tell more Lovecraftian stories of mystery and madness. Their next work is titled 'Transient', and it will be out sometime next year on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
The details are a little scarce, but sound suitably representative of both the Lovecraftian and cyberpunk genres:
In the distant, post-apocalyptic future, what is left of the population of mankind lives in an enclosed citadel called Domed City Providence, created to survive the harsh outside environment. In this, mankind's final refuge, Randolph Carter, a member of a notorious hacker-for-hire group called ODIN, accidentally stumbles across the terrifying truth, a truth that might tear apart his own sanity and question his very existence.
There's no details on how the game actually plays, so it should be safe to assume it'll play like its predecessor Conarium, which you'll find here on Steam.
Have a look at the teaser trailer below:
Transient is being developed by Stormling Studios, which is the new name for the studio previously known as Zoetrope Interactive. They're based in Istanbul, Turkey. The game is using Unreal Engine 4.
As with Zoetrope's games Conarium and Darkness Within, Transient will be published by Iceberg Interactive, which is based in The Netherlands.
There doesn't seem to be an official website for Transient at the moment, but you'll find the game on Steam here.
If dark things are what you're after, have a look at Pathologic 2, a survival game about surviving a fatal disease. If you'd prefer all the cyberpunk, but without any of the scary bits, have a look at Conglomerate 451.
