Now you can play Night in the Woods while actually spending a night in the woods! Finji is bringing the anthropomorphic adventure to the Switch very soon.
One of last year’s more notable indies, Night in the Woods is headed to the Nintendo Switch very soon. According to the game’s official Twitter account, the Switch version will launch on the North American eShop on 1st February. That’s only a couple weeks away!

The game is listed on the Nintendo eShop with an 18th January release date, but according an official tweet, this is an error and is being looked into. So far, only the North American release has been confirmed at a price tag of $19.99. It has also been confirmed that the Switch version of the game will include all the content from the Weird Autumn version of the game, which we detailed last year.
Here’s the official synopsis:
College dropout Mae Borowski returns home to the crumbling former mining town of Possum Springs seeking to resume her aimless former life and reconnect with the friends she left behind. But things aren’t the same. Home seems different now and her friends have grown and changed. Leaves are falling and the wind is growing colder. Strange things are happening as the light fades.
And there’s something in the woods.
Join Mae on a trip through her hometown and into the dark on the other side.
Being an adventure game, the gameplay mostly consists of exploring the environments and interacting with characters to progress the story.
Night in the Woods is currently available on PC, Mac, Linux, PS4 and Xbox One. Mobile versions for iOS and Android are still in development.
